Nervous about meeting the community in person? A munch is the gentlest way in.
A munch is a casual, clothes-on social gathering — usually at a bar or restaurant — where lifestyle and ENM folks meet with absolutely no expectation of play.
What to expect:
• Regular clothes, regular venue. It looks like any group of friends grabbing drinks.
• Introduce yourself, be curious, ask questions. Everyone there was new once.
• No pressure to pair off, go anywhere, or do anything. 'Just here to meet people' is a complete answer.
Tips: arrive a little early so it's less intimidating, bring your partner or a friend if it helps, and remember the golden rule — assume good faith and respect a no gracefully.
